I thought people would realise I was taking the piss out if a different post but obviously not, these 70 year olds are out closest friends in the village we moved to last year, we don't feel awkward about it at all.
Yeah, you’re an adult. You can hang out with whatever other adults you want to.

Anyway, even though you’re joking I gotta say it’s not weird at all. I love hanging out with elderly people (the cool ones at least, not the grumpy racist ones.) And if you actually pay attention they have super interesting first hand stories about historical events that they actually experienced. My grandpa fucking fought in WW2.
They’re like past the point of giving a damn about anything and they just wanna hang out and enjoy life. Sometimes I feel like when I hang out with people my age (29) everyone just talks about boring “adult” shit like their job and “the hustle” and how expensive houses are.

Nah, beyond the age of 25-30 you're just an adult and you can do whatever with other adults. Nothing is weird.
Not weird at all. Once you get to be an adult you can choose cool people of any age to hang out with.
I'm 45, and I have good friends in their 20s and others in their 80s. Both are fine.
I am 68 and one of my best friends is the 26 year old father of my great granddaughter. We hang out all the time. We are in the same clan in Destiny 2. We fish and smoke pot together. He’s a great guy and fantastic Dad.

I'm 20 and I hang out with 50-70 year olds. Mostly because she's my grandma and her weird old friends

I think it's cool, go for it! As long as you're not those creepy 30 year olds hanging out with 18 year olds at their college dorm/frat parties on campus.
As a child, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents and I loved them like crazy! I've always liked hanging out with older folks because of that, I guess. Friends can be found anywhere and the wider and more varied your 'friend pool' is the more enriching it is. Have fun with your friends and enjoy your life.
Who cares. Besides, I bet they have alot of wisdom to offer.
I work in a theater and hang out with people ages 20-80 all the time.

34 here, and I have far more friends in the 50+ range than under 40. I just seem to naturally get along better with the older crowd that has similar interests.
