My Nexus membership renewal was accepted without an interview. Should I receive a new card by mail or continue to use the expired one?

CBP Support

I've recently moved countries and didn't update my mailing address until well after the renewal was accepted. I'm wondering if I missed the new card at my old address or if I'm just meant to continue using the expired one.

UPDATE: for anyone wondering, it appears I will have missed my card in the mail. I was able to update a new mailing address, pay $25 for a replacement, and it will be immediately mailed out - no re-interview necessary. I'm assuming whether an interview is required or not is handled on a case-by-case risk basis.

A new card is sent automatically. It took a little over a month for my new card to arrive - it's not fast.

In the meantime, your old card should still work, at least if it's not expired. If it expired, I do not know if the automatic 1-year extension applies after the renewal was approved

If you never receive the new card you'll have to get a replacement (it costs $25 I think).

Okay looks like the replacement is the way to go then. I missed the new one. Thanks!

It will hopefully be smooth as your new card was never activated, but I've heard on reddit that declaring a card as lost can cause some bureaucratic headaches
