[Request] A Redditor in need of some Christmas help for her two sons.
Well, I never thought I would be here asking for your help, but here I am. This has been a financially rough year for us. We have had many unanticipated expenses recently: braces, therapy, etc. and there is little to no money for Christmas. My 2 boys have never had a bad Christmas and I feel truly horrible that they may have one this year, so I am putting pride aside and humbly asking for help. This is my youngest son C, http://imgur.com/MVtsH . He turns 4 on Sunday. He is a little spitfire and is always asking questions. His smile lights up the room and our hearts. He is interested in music and the human body right now. My older son J is 14 and is the sweetest, smartest, and most caring son a mother could ask for. He did not want his picture taken as "I can do without mom, just as long as C gets some presents." Oh, how I love his good heart. He is an excellent student and an avid reader. Here is a picture of him and his brother from last Christmas. http://imgur.com/7jbnA and his latest report card http://imgur.com/TvZTY , I hope this is okay for verification. J loves Halo, Minecraft, and always loves a good book. They are good boys and deserve a wonderful Christmas, can you help give them a great Maine Christmas?
EDIT: Words cannot convey how much you have helped me this Christmas season. jmjohns2, goudie, IamAeruginosa, Timbits, TheTerje, and badbrownie, how can I ever possibly thank you enough for your kindness and generosity towards my two sons? Knowing they will be smiling on Christmas morning fills my heart with such happiness. You all have brought back my Christmas spirit and eased my troubled, stressed out mind. You all will receive pictures of my boys, with the gifts you have so graciously gifted them. Please PM me your addresses if you would like a note from J and C after Christmas. I believe in written thank you's and I am sure my children would love to express their feelings of gratitude to you also. Thank you once again for everything. It will not be the biggest Christmas we've ever had, but it will certainly be the most cherished and talked about Christmas for years to come. I thank you for that. -M
