" Blossom "

Poem

I imagine a Bible

A cherry blossom petal

Scriptures on pink skin

Carried on the wind

I think of your garden

And Koto strings

Plucked like raindrops

From a cloud.

Play for me please

And I will dance

For you

In the suns soft light.

Thanks for sharing! Good stuff. I loved the feel of music inherent in the poem and maybe you could expand in that? When comparing Koto strings to raindrops, you could add sensory details to emphasize the sound and visual effect, such as the shimmering reflection of the raindrops on the strings or the gentle pitter-patter of the plucks.

Wow.

I am so glad you enjoyed, and thank you for your encouragements! Your contribution is most welcome, feel free to add those elements yourself if you so desire. I am not sure if I am capable at this point to incorporate them, but maybe one day.

Be well!!

Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our feedback guide, or look through the comment sections of any other post here, or click the links to the author's feedback above. If you're not sure whether your comments are feedback, or you have any other questions, please send us a modmail.

Very good imagery, friend. I can't fully picture what would it be like a pink skin with so many things to tell the reader who touches and caresses. Very gentle comparisons, so haiku-like. I would just go deeper in the last stanza, but it keeps the pace very well, just a crude and mostly useless observation. I have the strange need for very consistent and piercing endings, but not everything is meant to be like that. Thank you for your imagery, Stranger.
