Brandon Miller or Shaedon Sharpe?

Suppose we could only keep one, which would you pick?

Assume we would get equal value back for SS or BM in any trade, so the question is which player will be better in the long haul?

Sharpe

Sharpe probably but mostly because he’s shown he can at least do some stuff in the NBA

Millet is a complete unknown

Sharpe is the truth.

I just started texting my buddies a similar question this morning (mine was #3 or Shaedon). I think #3 has slightly more value, but there is more known + more attachment now to Shaedon.

I think it’s also a useful exercise for us fans. Miller and Scoot will both likely have better rookie seasons than Shaedon just did. Imagine having just logged 75+ nights of watching 6’9” Miller hit a ton of threes and flash playmaking ability, or Scoot flash playmaking brilliance + all kinds of athletic explosion. Would you then view that guy as untouchable? If you currently see Shaedon that way, chances are high that you would.

I dont see a world where we trade Sharpe and keep #3.. I LOVE the idea of both Miller and Sharpe being on the team and we work out a trade to get a SOLID SF another way. Hopefully someone around/better than DFS, Lauri, Slow Mo, ect. This won't probably make Lillard happy, but I feel it is the best play to try to build a contender. It will be probably 3-5 years out, but building through the draft is how you get multiple top 15 players in the league.

One of my things about 3 is that, if you draft pretty much any one of the guys at 3 (Miller, Scoot, Amen) we as a fanbase would collectively hype them as untouchable by the trade deadline. Especially Scoot or Miller.

Sharpe, no question. Sharpe could turn into a generational type player with his twitch abilities. Not Miller

Let’s just keep both :)

Shaedon and it's not close.

Best case with BM is he's a player who shows promise who could potentially be an All-Star one day. We already have that with Sharpe.

Sharpe is 6 months younger than Miller lol

Sharpe has shown he can be an nba player, Miller has not

Also he did it as a teenager who hadn't played real games in over a year. Obviously he was still practicing at Kentucky, but that's just not the same.

Honestly him choosing not to play might be one of the best things to happen to Portland. We have 0% chance of getting him at #7 if people saw him play at Kentucky.

Yeah the media consensus is if he showed this this ability at Kentucky he would have been in the same tier as the top 3 last draft

I mean they play different positions. Why would we have to choose lol.

I’m keeping both. All other teams are trying to fleece out that pick or take sharpe off us. just keep building assets.

Miller because I’m a size starved Blazer fan who is spoiled with always having a breakout guard available from our own draft picks

Size matters

Sharpe has good self creation and athleticism, both of which are more important for a prospect. if miller has good enough self creation, he didn’t display very much at Alabama outside of a few awkward double crossovers followed by a hardline drive. Miller is also not an exceptional athlete.

If Shaedon had played college, Miller would be drafted below him.

Sharpe like hands down

Sharpe.

And even posing the question is kind of ridiculous until we even know whether or not Miller can play in the NBA.

Sharpe. Sharpe. Sharpe. A thousand times. You'd be insane to think otherwise. You'd have "there might be a boat" syndrome.

Sharpe is a better prospect and will likely have a better overall career.

I view Brandon Miller as being on the Chris Bosh tier...maybe that makes him Brandon Ingram but I feel Danny Granger is a more accurate description of him.

Sharpe, I feel, can meet that T-Mac/Wade tier as an elite SG that do it all.

I think Amen will probably be better than Scoot and Miller due to his versatility. If Walker pans out as a reliable 20ppg wing who can pass and handle, he might be the best, though, due to his defensive dominance.

If Sharpe had stayed in school he’d be the second pick in this draft.

If you keep Ant & Dame then Miller.
