What's up with Mocchi using feints?
I've noticed that Mocchi has this weird tendency to do a gunflame feint whenever they get a wallstick. Is this some sort of tech, or is this just for the hell of it?

It gives you a pixel of meter from what I know
Feint is the only move that can be canceled by fafnir. It allows buffering instead of hitting a harder timeframe.
I always thought it was if you had done a really slow move to wall stick and the feint's frame data allowed you to reposition/get the move of your choice out to break the wall.
https://youtu.be/SkaIUPonZ7s here's a video explaining it, its not really just mocchi that does this, most sol mains use this aswell
Feints whole purpose is that it's a faster recovery than a normal Gunflame. So depending on the routing the only way to get the best damage is to cancel into Feint then follow-up. Gunflame feint was used a lot more in older GGs during combos but now it's a bit more of a niche boomer tech.
I'd always assumed it was for a little bit of meter gain
Probably same as Zato BTL, cancels your buffered action so you don't accidentally waste the wallbreak on a jab or something.
Sounds about right to me. Thanks!
