Anyone here play electric guitar?

Bought my first electric guitar the other day. I’m broke so I’m unable to afford lessons, so I’m currently relying on youtube videos to learn the basics.

Anyone who knows how to play have suggestions, tips or resources for starting out? How long have those of you that can play been playing for and what was the hardest aspect of learning?
