Beach reads for a guy

I'm looking for a book for my husband. He doesn't like to read but I think it's because he tries to read long, difficult books like War and Peace or A Tale of Two Cities. He won't admit they're boring (or at least not easy reads) but he never finishes them. I feel like most of the light, breezy beach style reads are aimed at women. My husband also likes sports especially hockey and running, and World War II stuff (not necessary but if the book included either he might enjoy it).
