My Chernobyl theroy

I was watching HBO’s Chernobyl (a phenomenal show if you haven’t watched it already) and it got me thinking about the timeline of events within the series with real life events. Season 4 ends in March of 1986, with the energy surge caused by the upside down portal opening. And when did Chernobyl occur? April of 1986. So my theory for season 5 is Vecna will be responsible in some way for Chernobyl occurring. Maybe this could be the climactic event that Vecna is building up to, and could then carry threat of that destruction on to the states? Thoughts? Sorry in advance if this has already be theorized!
