Celestron Wifi Adapter Questions

Considering buying the wifi adapter for my Celestron telescope as continuously trying to align it manually throughout the night can be tedious. I have a few questions.

I have the 4SE but it’s roughly 10 years old and I’m unsure if the technology is compatible with a model that old.

If it is still compatible, would I then have to pay for the app on my phone? A subscription? Or is it free?

And then for the people who use the wifi adapter, is it worth it? Is the alignment of the scope that much better?
