Any thoughts on starting a property management company?

So, I was kind of thinking about starting a property management company in the near future in British Columbia. I need to take a licensing course which is quite easy from what I gather talking to people.

I was considering because I'm a millwright, electrician and power engineer and I've got pretty decent knowledge on plumbing from working and school. On top of that, I'm also working on my PMP at BCIT right now.

Because I could do electrical, plumbing and any other mechanical problems that may arise, I wouldn't need to necessarily worry about losing a bunch of money in hiring contractors since I could just do it.

I know my wife would be able to handle the paperwork and everything since I'm a lot more hands on and she's an office worker, so I was thinking might be a decent way to kind of bring our skill sets together.

Any thoughts or opinions?
