Tips for helping an orchid post root rot?
So I made the tragic age old mistake of mixing up the signals between an underwatered plant, and an…. Overwatered plant. And gave my orchid root rot. I’ve done all the necessary work to get rid of it - I chopped the black rotting roots, I chopped the stem, I scrubbed the pot clean and put down new bark and moss, I’ve even been spraying it with anti fungal spray. The problem is…. My orchid only has about 2, maybe 3 roots left. It has 2 small new roots, and a sprout which I believe is a root but could be a stem (too soon to tell). Is there any way to encourage root growth? Should I just…. Take care of it like normal and hope for the best? I do have rooting powder because I do a lot of propagations, but I don’t know if it would work in this situation.
Edit: I don’t know the specific type of orchid I have, it’s one of those “ice cube orchids”. I’ve never watered it with ice cubes though, heard that was a bad idea.
