Intex wifi / app issue - any ideas?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Tldr: control panel is connected to my wifi network, but won't connect to my Android phone. Spent multiple calls with customer service, and hopefully something will get resolved, but so far no luck.

Details: Couldn't get the app to find the Spa. After first troubleshoot the sent me a new control panel, but same issue.

I have tried on multiple Android devices. I've changed my network name and it still has same outcome.

The spa requires a 2.4G network, which my router did accommodate.

I go through the pairing instructions, the app doesn't find the Spa. But if I turn off the control panel and then place it back on it's charging place, it turns on and the WiFi indicator goes solid blue. If I log into my router, I see that it successfully connected to my network. I still am unable to add the product to the Intex app.

I've played around with the gps permissions, it won't attempt to pair unless that permission is enabled and "precise location" is toggled on.

Anyone have any ideas? Anyone had luck pairing Intex hot tub to their android device?
