Nvme enclosure or SATA SSD

Options: I can either get ASUS ROG Nvme enclosure + 2 TB Nvme or a 2 TB Sata SSD Both will cost me the same price here and will deliver same speed upto 1000 Mbps. I want a reliable and durable solution. What I should go for? (If anyone uses enclosure, please do let me know your experience)

Here's my use case: Currently I own a PC and want an external storage for storing video files for editing. I don't want to get a internal because I am planning to get a mac book soon and I can continue using that external storage with mac too.
