Somali coconut recipes

Anyone know of any decent recipes involving coconuts? I was thinking that there must be some but I can't think of any.

Doesn't have to be desserts/waax macaan stuff too.

Edit: Also what are the various words for coconut in afkeena for that matter?

Coconut bisbas! So good! I tried it in xamar and couldn’t stop thinking about it. There is a recipe on xawash that I use.

Hmmm, so does it replace the tamarind/xamar or is it layered on top?

I can only think of sweets like kashaato and qumbe Maybe maharago with coconut milk but that’s more swahili

I saw this youtube video from Bon Appetit, from Somali chef Hawa Hassan-- she makes digaag qumbe, a Somali chicken stew, and it has coconut in it! I've been meaning to try it out!!

Here is a link if you want to see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5RXl3AZh-Y

I think I'm gonna make this, this looks like it but skipping cilantro cause I don't mess around with that.

I LOVE COCONUTS! I used to make myself coconut milk with the nalgene iyo biyo. Was so delicious and I miss it. That and cambuulo are the main things I miss about Somalia. The cambuulo and coconut milk just don’t hit the same way in the states. Also used to eat so much of it like a fatty and didn’t gain a single pound.

How about coconut biis baas. Adding jalapeno, coconut, lemon, garlic, salt, oil and cilantro through the juicer.
