Project Coordinator Info Needed

I would really like to get into project management specifically in marketing. What kind of projects does the project coordinator handle? How many projects at a time? What are the key responsibilities? Would really like to know from real people in these positions doesn’t necessarily have to be in marketing! I did read a bit online about the position but again would like to hear real world answers / experiences!

Thank you.
