Do you guys max out your traces for all the characters you use?

I know it doesn't matter because it's a marathon game and supposed to be this grindy. Still, i am currently using 9 characters depending on requirements because the last few levels of Forgotten Hall and MoC is insanely difficult. All of them are Lvl 60 and so are their Light Cones.

As i calculated from the planner, getting all their traces upto Lvl 6 is gonna take me almost 24 days of normal TP usage. But grinding them feels necessary because higher level boss don't have much weaknesses.

I only go for relic at tl 60 since my current relics are just good enough to beat most content..

That makes sense. Since if you kill the bosses quickly the supports can be low leveled on traces and still survive.

I have my DPS at 6 max.

My supports barely at 4

Trace farming is just a chore. Id rather the RNG of relics lol

i plan to. it's early days and having all these traces done now will help so much down the line.

Not all of them. You should farm other stuff (relics) after upgrading the most useful traces

Yeah i think imma farm traces until i reach TL 50. Then i will start farming relics.

I usually jut maxed some ex, jingyuan only his talent, gepard only his ult, tingyun everything besides her normal atk, unfortunately characters like danheng or sushang you need to max all of their traces

Only char I have maxxed everything is Seele because I like the character, and it also doesn't feel wasted on her

All the other chars just get their bread and butter abilities maxxed

Only other char I am considering maxing everything is QQ (granted I will only invest into her if I get her to E4 or e6)

Ancient gacha wisdom says "skills to 6". More eventually but 1-6 is a couple of days and everything past that is many, many weeks.

I only have them maxed on Jing Yuan. Other characters that I use regularly have their traces at 5/6 and I think that's more than enough. I'll upgrade them when I won't have anything else to farm.

I don't even bother maxing Jing Yuan. 75% of his damage comes from his Lightning Lord, so I max that one single talent. I don't touch his basic attack at all, and his skill / ult I might leave them 3-4 levels below max.

The whole game is about stamina vs damage efficiency if you care about maximizing your stars in MOC. Of course if you don't care about maximizing stars in MOC then who cares.

Between TBL50 and TBL60 you will be hard pressed to get ready all the ascension and calyx materials for the third major trace unlock and level 75 for everyone, including level 80 lightcones. Once you calculate those requirements then you work backwards and figure out if any spare resin you have is better positioned to go towards getting relics or traces.

The truth is, if you plan to play regularly, after maybe a year you'll have all your characters maxed. If you have even a slight idea of what you're doing, soon MOC will not be a problem. It happened in Genshin, it's going to happen here, too. That's why I don't care too much about min-maxing everything now. I just know that after some time, all that is going to be left to do, is to be pre-farming for new characters and endlessly farming Relics for that slight upgrade.

Yeah if you don't care about min maxing, then just do whatever, it's cool, it feels good to max out the character you love.

Thanks for the advice. I will max my dps characters and do the rest as and when i need them.

I only level the most important traces, talent for Jing Yuan, skill/ult for Sushang, etc

I’m building like 10 characters right now. I’ve gotten all traces up to 6 (4 for basic) & unlocked all permanent ones for the current character levels. My 3 DPS characters are lvl 65-70 with lvl 70 light cones. My supports are 60 with 60 light cones (unascended). I haven’t relic farmed except for getting some planar/ropes from SU.

I’ll probably get my DPS traces up to lvl 7, leaving the supports at 6 for now. I’ll also likely ascend all to 60/70, but work on leveling them slowly, with DPS characters being the priority to max.

Honestly, I think it only feels like a lot now because we’re building so many characters at once. Now that we’ll only be getting a new character here or there, once in a while, it’ll get easier to build 1-2 at a time vs the 8-10 at the start of the game.

Exactly. I'm skipping 1.1 entirely so I'm getting zero new characters. Except the standard banners one. If those come out trash, no point grinding anyone.

I’m getting Silver Wolf to pair with Seele, but then I’ll likely skip 1.2. After SW, I’ll be saving for Fu Xuan. And with only one or two new ones to build every other patch or so, we’ll be able to keep building up our other characters.

Im in the process of upping all the traces, but tbf I only have like 4 characters to worry about so its probably a different situation for you.

You can do with 4 characters just fine. The 2nd party is for Forgotten halls and MoC where there are two tough bosses and you need to kill them fast.

Yeah I've seen, but Forgotten Hall looks like a pain so I don't rly want to do anything on it that requires 2 teams yet

Most of my characters have a proper set with trash stats and only the headpiece and handwear are leveled for those juicy flat stat increases. Everyone except Seele and Clara have their traces stuck at level 6. I do however go wide and use practically every unit i have (18) at least one day of the week so i can't really afford to raise them any higher yet

Seele and Jingyuan are maxed for me, supports on supports, tanks on 6 (not really worth afterwards). However, I do unlock all the one time paths such as new passives and bonus stats.

I max traces. It’s not too much of a loss in efficiency from TB50 and TB60 trace farming. My relics are good enough and I’m not stressing about MoC. Technically if I wanted to be the most efficient I would farm credits and exp but that’s just boring. I can’t see any improvement. Relics are true end farm farm so no rush there.

TB 55 here.

So far I'm just going to level 7 with my 3 dps, ignoring basic attack.

For my healers, level 6 for the ultimate of my healers level 4 skill and ignoring basic attack, I barely use the skills of Natasha or Bailu in Memory of Chaos run.

For the tanks, level 6 skill for MC and March, level 4 talent and basic attack.

I max all the light cones of the DPS and Healers because for Memory of Chaos, my only problem is that I don't do enough damage or I don't heal or suppress damage enough.

Simulated Universe is just meh now, I can do runs with auto with a bunch of difference teams, and I just need to pay attention to the final boss.

My TLDR, don't invest that much on traces we are a mid row of the grind and only key characters like Gepard, Bailu and your DPS should have their traces close to max, but never max because the amount of power you need is just better spent on maxing Line Cones, EXP or Relic. I would say relics are really important, at least the main stat.

And save bottles to level up new characters you, don't use them for future "better" drop opportunities, we need everything, and you shouldn't focus on one thing. We are in a part of the game that we are pulling for new characters on every patch and the roster of the Standar banner is so big that even if you lose 50/50 you'll end up with a character that you would like to level up.

We are going to have events with double relic drop, but beside just make a mix of everything. Making Line Cone EXP, character EXP and Credit and as priority.

Just farm relic to get the full set of your dps. Your supports should all use the free relics we get from quests Musketeers and Thief, until we'll get a new relic that is specific for supports that will just boots speed.

And the only world worth farming in the Simulated Universe is World 3, for Memory of Chaos you need 1 dps and 3 supports for each team so you need 6 Characters with Fleet of Ageless.

I don't think there is a bad TL to start Relic Farming, is RNG and farming relic is at least entertaining compare to just farming the rest of stuff. I usually did 2 - 1 runs of relics per day since I got to TL 50 to get my pieces for my 2 DPS and my 2 tanks and since then I just farm relics with the free stuff we get from the Simulated Universe.

Im TL60 and I dont they re too expensive I dont want to spend all my energy on that and I dont think the difference would be that Big tbh I just let them at 6/7 on the skills I normally use and ignore the other ones

More important to farm LC xp, character XP and credits
