New player questions

Hello there!

So I got the game a few days ago, finished the tutorial then proceeded to spawn into Muldraugh and survived for exactly 1 hour. All good.

Few games later and I am up to consistently surviving for up to 3 days. Got some question to y'all.

I did a Riverside start for a change and noticed that each house only had a bit of water that did not replenish. Power was still on. Is it a feature of Riverside or am I doing something wrong?

And second question, lets say I want to play with a friend or two. Is it possible to host a game on my PC or would we need to rent a game server?
