Resignation during skilled worker visa & family visa

Hi there,

I currently am in a complicated situation and would be thankful to have any kind of advice.

I am an EU citizen who has been living and working in the UK for less than a year under a skilled worker visa. Due to my working conditions being unbearable, I resigned and am currently reaching the end of my 2-month notice. Here are my questions:

  • Was I supposed to notify the Home Office myself since I'm the one who terminated my contract?
  • I was planning to travel abroad in the next two weeks (after I leave my job). Is it putting me at risk of not being able to enter the UK before the end of the 60-day legal period (related to the skilled worker visa)?
  • I just got into a French civil partnership (PACS) with a British citizen. It seems that if I apply to a family visa and travel abroad, my visa request will be automatically canceled. Is it true?
  • I'm also thinking worst case scenario as PACS are not always well received by the UK Home office (it is more flexible than a mariage in France): would I still have a good chance to obtain a family visa even though I've lived with my partner for less than a year? In fact, we've been together for 5+ years and can prove it through photos and other "soft" pieces of evidence.

Thanks for your help
