IAmA Female Asian-American who is studying abroad in the Middle East. AMA!

I am Filipino-Chinese but born and raised in California. I've been living in Beirut, Lebanon since August and will stay until January. My areas of study are Christianity in the Middle East, and the American media's perception of the Arab world.

Although, this is my first time in the Middle East, I have previously traveled to Arabic-speaking parts of North Africa: Cairo, Egypt (right after Arab Spring) and Marrakech, Morocco (earlier the year).
