So, why are YOU subscribed to r/MorbidReality?

For me, r/MorbidReality provides us with an opportunity to step out of our comfort zone (although we'll never come even close, considering the roof over our heads and the food in our fridge.)

Simply by reading the titles, clicking on the pictures, or even at times watching the videos is almost enough for me to truly get a grasp of reality, like what's ACTUALLY going on in Syria for example. But it never will be the same reality that that person, their family, or their friends are having to deal with.

That disgusting, rotting shadow on the floor? A decomposed man, forgotten about for two weeks. A woman trying to beat the oncoming train and failing? Her entire body diminished into shredded meat? All in front of bystanders and families with luggage for a trip? Of course that's horrific, and tremendously sad, but in my opinion, it's stuff like that that is necessary for those who are comfortably sheltered in their reddit/cat bubble-

What are they going to do when tragedy or despair comes knocking on their door? Turn the gun on themselves? Or someone else? Freeze up and develop PTSD?

Death is real, and we will need to be prepared for it. That's why I'm here.

Edit: It's also pretty interesting for me. I'm never desensitized to it however; it always takes a lot in me to click on some of these links.
