My name is Steve, but when people mistake my name they almost always call me "Chris." It's not my nickname, but it's been happening for almost 10 years (and miles apart). What are some weird coincidences that make you wonder if it could be something more than coincidence?

For almost 10 years now, almost every time that someone forgets my name they use Chris as a substitute. I've been called Chris three times in the last two months, one time I was at work and actually was wearing my "Steve" name tag. It happened in college a few times (about a hundred miles away), it happens randomly at work at different jobs in different towns, I even remember my Mom calling my Chris once. Sure I've been called other names. I remember being called Stan once, and Jeff. But about 85-90% of the time it's always Chris, at least enough to make me really stop and think about it.

Maybe I look like a Chris, I just never thought people looked like a name.
