Google homepage keeps refreshing by itself... Note II

I just got a Samsung Galaxy Note II yesterday and when I sign into my gmail account on the home page, the browser just keeps reloading repeatedly non stop! Anyone else having this problem? My old phone which was an HTC Thunderbolt started doing it towards the end but I thought it was because it was running Android 4.2. Anyone know how to fix this? I already tried clearing the cache and the cookies but that didnt do the job.
