Going to Hollywood? Here is where NOT to park
I have lived in LA all my life. My two guy friends and I were going to spend an evening in Hollywood. We were really happy to find $8 flat parking on Hollywood/Cahuenga. Parking in that area is usually $10-$40 ($40 at Pantagas a few blocks down)
Now, parking lots usually close around 3:00-- hours after bars close. My friends and I walked back to our car at 2:45. The valet said it was closed, and he didn't have our keys. Then he took off. The other lot that was still open gave us his number, and after countless calls, he finally picked up, said that he would have to get our keys, it would take him an hour, and that we would have to pay him $40.
He came 2 hours later, refused to give us our keys, and called the cops on us. after a long time bribing, begging and paying, we finally got our car back.
It was the worst experience ever. I didn't get home until 7:00 AM, and I live in West Hollywood.
So, if you see $8 parking in the heart of Hollywood, It's a trap!!!!!!!
