Does anybody know about this issue where Skype (desktop) constantly goes on online status despite setting it to invisible status?

I uninstalled Skype touch, so I know that's not it. Now, I am thinking whether it is because of the People app. Every hour or so, it goes to online/available mode from invisible mode that I set it to.
