The Earth is orbiting our sun which is travelling around our galaxy, so everything we know is moving. Would it be possible to keep something at an intergalactic stationary point?
For instance, something that used thrusters of some sort to correct it's position, so that within an intergalactic reference frame it stays in the same spot, correcting for gravitational pulls and galactic movement. Like some sort of geostationary galactic satellite. Is this theoretically possible to calculate if we are inside the galaxy which is moving?
