Error Code 43 with a functioning keyboard
Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad T430 (specs posted later) OS: Windows 8 Pro x64 Keyboard: Unicomp Customizer 104 (no device specific drivers availible)
The problem: after a day or so of use, my keyboard will not connect to my laptop. Digging into the device manager I am getting an error 43, which is a generic "this device has stopped functioning properly."
Attempts to solve:
- Plugged into Xbox 360 for testing. The keyboard operated normally and I was able to send a message.
- Used the refresh option in the Metro control panel. This fiexed the issue and the keyboard worked for ~24 hours before becoming non-responsive again with an Error 43.
Some things I will note:
- I do not turn off my computer at the end of the day. I put it into sleep mode and after a set amount of time it will hibernate.
- When I plug in my keyboard I do not unplug it unless this error occurs. The laptop is essentially docked.
If anyone could shed some light on this issue it would be much appreciated.
