Cheap, time and money saving, and environmentally friendly. Wanted to share my success with the no-poo method
I thought r/minimalism and r/frugal might be interested in this. Back in March, I got my head shaved for st. baldricks. When it started growing back, I was not one bit happy with it. Dandruff and greasy are kind words for what was going on up there. I was using run-of-the-mill shampoo, just stuff from the drugstore. Well, over the summer some one told me about the no-poo method and I decided to try it. I wasn't particularly attached to my hair, so after a bad haircut, i re-shaved in July and decided to grow back sans shampoo, just water and baking soda. I couldn't be happier with the results. My hair is not greasy, not dandruffy, and is much easier to manage. It's super soft too. I would recommend it for anyone. It's extremely cheap, frees up time in your morning routine, and is environmentally friendly. It was such a radical transformation for my hair, maybe I'm just particularly sensitive to shampoo, but I've glad I did it.
