Ideas for a project car - brainstorm.

The last car we did was a track only car, and while it's TONS of fun, we are looking to build up something to enjoy on the road. Rules - must be built on a chassis we can get relatively cheap (under 10K USD). Engine? Well, rebuild or crate are an option, all depends on the chassis.

The only "likes" I can think of right now are

• RWD is always preferred.
• Something mid or rear engined would be very cool.
• Convertible would be nice, but not mandatory.
• I'm 6'4", so a real small chassis is a problem.

Think outside the box - what kind of car/engine combo have you always wanted to see?
