[Rant] Having a bad morning and I think just getting this out will help. I feel like you guys would understand.

Hi all. I've always felt like I've had some sort of anxiety problem, but I've never had anything diagnosed or gone to a therapist. I don't know if I will need to or not. Most of my problems seem like they are triggered by the "newness" of something, how unfamiliar it is. When I'm pretty settled somewhere and have a routine I do great.

I moved to a new state with my significant other a couple months ago and I feel like a jumbled mess. My car needs to go in for a service soon, but that would involve going to a new place and talking to people I've never talked to, and I have this built up fear (that logically I'm sure isn't true) of everyone there judging me for not knowing anything about cars. So that's been getting put off.

Giving me worse problems right now is my new job. I just started working at a pet shop (due to not being able to find something better). I have a lot of animal care experience, but pretty minimal retail experience, so I'm used to working "behind the scenes" and only interacting with a couple coworkers. But customers? Shit. I put on a good face and make myself interact with them, but my heart is racing and I feel sweaty and terrible. And everytime I get something wrong, same thing. I've only had one day, and I know everyone feels lost for awhile at a new job, but I just really wish I was already "familiar" with how everything worked there so I didn't have to worry about it so much. I have to leave in a couple hrs for my second day, and I'm really unhappy about it. I found another post on here about positive self talk. I might try that today.

I can never seem to logic my way out of feeling anxious, and I hate it = (. Typing it out helped a little. Any thoughts or suggestions from you guys are welcome too.

Edited for typos

Update: On my way to the job I didn't want to go to, my check engine light came on in the car that I've been neglecting. Needless to say, I had to spend a few minutes in the car getting myself together before I went in to work. Ugh. At this point I am seriously considering trying a therapist. Dealing with a check engine light and having to talk to new people and learn how to do new things shouldn't make me feel as terrible as it is.
