[Statistics] Ordinal Regression with Likert Scale as Independent Varable and Nominal Independent

I am writing a proposal for a study a we are doing in my undergrad social statistics class and I need a little help. My hypothesis is that those who are spanked will more likely approve of and endorse violent aspects of society (measured by a 24 item Likert Scale) I have reached my data analysis plan section and I am a little confused as to what tests to run.

I also am collecting data about race, age, sex, and frequency of spankings as a child (ordianal) Some advice would be greatly appreciated.
