USB Ports Not Functioning on New Win8 Notebook

Hi, my msi GT70-0ND just came in the mail yesterday, and for some reason the USB ports just don't seem to work. I checked the USB drivers in device manager, and they were all functional and up to date. I then dug around a little and tried uninstalling all of my drivers and letting Windows reinstall them for me after a reboot, but all Windows did was reinstall the exact same drivers who still make my USB ports not functional. Any help, guys? Thanks.
