UTSC Co-op?

I am going to be applying to UTSG and UTSC for psychology, but I am not sure which one is better to go to. I know that UTSG has a lot of research opportunities, but UTSC has a co-op program. Is the co-op program essentially the same as getting research opportunities at UTSG?
