Women of Reddit, when a man says, "You look better without make-up on". Do you take that as a compliment or a shot to your make-up application skills?
Just wondering. Every once in a while when I catch a girl outside of her make-up transformation and she looks real good, I just want to blurt out "Wow you shouldn't wear make-up".
That's what I want to say on impulse (not that they're ugly with make-up on btw), but I would probably phrase it better like "You know, you look good without a lot of make-up on".
Does something like this make you feel like your efforts have been wasted? Or is it a relief?
Brief update: Thank you ladies of Reddit, your opinions have shaped how (or even if) I would talk to a girl about her make-up. It really does depend on how you say it. By the way, just for context, this would likely be towards a friend that is a girl and not an SO.
