Bell peppers in pot pie?

I'm going to make a vegetable pot pie and I have two bell peppers, one red and one green. I feel like bell peppers either enhance a dish or stick their big asses in where they don't belong. Anyone had success with bell peppers in a plane jane style pot pie?

White Mushrooms

Celery

Carrots

Shallots

Garlic

White potatoes
