I´ve got a little problem with solo ranked...

I´d like to play ranked as soon as I get my new router, but I don´t like playing rankeds alone. I have some friends I might duoQ with, but most of the time they are not online or don´t want to play, so I wanted to ask:

What makes you capable of queuing solo for ranked? I just can´t find any aspect to convince me from doing so.
