Reddit, how differently do you think our lives would be if the legends of Santa, the toothfairy, etc.. Never happened? Or what if your parents never told you about them?

I grew up with the legend of Santa Claus and all the other different childhood mythical characters like the toothfairy or the Easter bunny. But what if they never got started? How different do you think life would be as a kid? Or as an adult? Or what if your parents didn't want you hearing those stories, and never told them to you, and told you the truth?
