The Plant Under the Stairs
Moved to Colorado about 6 months ago for medical reasons and just set up my first grow. I've had a couple clones in veg before but trashed them early due to instincts. This setup is what I have for now as I'm broke until after Xmas, around february.
In February I will be able to build an ideal medical and amendment 64 setup with 12 plants between my wife and I. No worries on the legal or landlord side as our landlady owns a dispensary. Currently I have a 400 watt hps w/ballast, an 18 inch oscillating fan, and a 6 inch exhaust fan. Sitting at 50 percent rh, 80 degrees roughly, with fox farms soil.
Currently only have one lemon skunk that is stretching like a mad man with 24-0 under the hps, looking for clones but have zero money right now so no big hurry. I water ever 3 days with straight water, am on day 6, and have a 6 inch sapling that I've mounded dirt around for support. Will be transplanting to large rubbermaid tubs when the time is right, using soil bags to keep between harvest cleaning down.
This grow is just to learn, some bagseed I germed up to get me going, growing, and learning. I'm mainly focused on learning correctly and developing patience. I hope to learn as much as possible and am currently studying college level biology, plant biology, and microbiology from my recliner. This is not just about growing some dank, I hope to become a knowledgeable breeder some day. With this in mind, I have a basement that is 18x42-this is a good time to mention my house has previously been used exclusively to grow medication - with ample ventilation and power, with pre installed green spectrum cfls and custom ducting, built in carbon filtration system, and a nice 12x12 crawlspace that sits at 14-18 degrees below ambient room temp with no assistance. I would like to have 3 in flower, 3 in veg on my consumption side and 3 male 3 female in various states of life for seed production, hybridization, and study. I will need to be able to isolate my consumption from production of course. Financially things need to be done correctly, safely, securely, and with absolutely optimal conditions. With this in mind what's your experience with lemon skunk? What would you build in my basement? Those of you breeders;books, essays, grow logs, journals, etc would be awesome if you could share things that have helped you.
I've taken a lot of pics already, and done quite a bit of documentation and I will post an update when I start a subreddit
