Going to Paris soon, many redditors talk bad about Paris how was your experience there?

I'm planning a 3 week trip to paris for the christmas holiday. I'm going alone, staying at a hostel and super excited/nervous. I've made a few posts regarding this trip and many people just seem to bash Paris, it's no friendly, you won't make friends, its shitty etc. This cannot be true, Paris looks awesome. Please tell me how your trips went and if anyone wants to hangout while I'm there please tell me.
