Please help

I woke up this morning with sharp stabbing pain like i haven't felt for five years, should i go to the er or will they not be able to do anything?

Update, for you lovely Crohn's folks: decided to wait for a couple hours with my mother, and i no longer feel like I am dying! Going in to see my gastro as soon as possible. Your advice is appreciated (even if I did kind of blow it off, ooops) and this subreddit has helped me a lot. You're all awesome.
