Did Catholics or Episcopalians use real wine for the Eucharist during American Prohibition?

Seeing as Christ's real presence in the bread and wine is very important, I'm wondering what the general reaction to prohibition was for those who used wine for religious purposes. Was it treated like peyote in Native American rituals?
