What's your favorite 2nd Law moment?

Without a doubt, my absolute favorite moment from the 2nd Law would have to be after the initial guitar part in Survival when it comes back to Matt singing the verse.

The choir isn't singing at this point, they're shouting with a sort of subtle, controlled intensity. Matt's drop Ab guitar is chugging along and Chris' bass has such amazing tone. Matt is singing like we've never heard before. His voice sounds significantly lower with very pronounced vibrato. It's pure vocal power. The female choir comes in with that same intensity as the males. You were warned and didn't listen. All 3 vocal layers are singing something different yet they blend perfectly. Dom's drums are almost lost behind the 3 layers of vocals but he's actually the one holding it all together. Matt bellows "I'll reveal my strength" which has an echo effect behind it. When we didn't think it could get any more intense, epic, or bombastic, Matt lets out a falsetto that we've all been desperately waiting to see reappear on a studio track followed immediately by that deep, Citizen Erased-esque drop A guitar riffing.

Lyrics aside, this is everything I love about Muse. The way the chords progress, the vocals, the instruments, the use of non-rock elements and the overall size and scale that is unmatched by any act out there today.

Those 40 seconds are definitely among the 2nd Law's best.

Cheers!
