Need help transferring window 7 boot partition over to a new SSD

So basically I got myself a new ssd during black Friday and I wanted to move my windows 7 partition over from its existing drive to the new SSD for obvious reasons. Usually I am pretty good with this type of stuff, however I can't seem to get it working.

Normally I would have just reinstalled windows and called it a day but I have some software on there that I had from while I was going to school that I would lose the licenses to so I would rather not have to take this path.

Some of the things that complicated the procedure are that I am currently dual booting windows/ubuntu and that my windows partition is currently located on a 640GB drive. The windows partition is about 150gb and the new ssd is 240gb so theoretically I shouldn't have a problem except that all of the software I have found so far either needs to copy the disk in its entirety (which obviously wont work as you aren't going to be able to fit 640GB on a 240GB drive) or just copies to partition without making it bootable.

I had been trying stuff off of UBCD 5.11 which I have been able to use to copy the partition but I can't seem to convince it to let me boot from the new drive.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Questions are always welcome!
