Story Time! Thought I'd just share what happened last night. (WARNING: blood)

So yesterday evening, three of my friends and I decided it would be cool to go ice skating. I knew it would be fun, but I also knew that I would absolutely suck as I haven't skated since I was about nine years old (I'm 15 now). But anyways we got to the ice rink at about 7:00, we got our skates, etc.. As we were about to hit the ice, I said to my friend "this is either going to be really funny or really just awful." It turns out it was the latter.

Within the first 30 seconds or so I was about to finish my first lap. NOPE. I all of a sudden slipped face first onto the ice. I got up pretty quickly because I didn't think it hurt that bad. But then one of the workers there skated over and asked if I wanted to go to the bathroom to clean myself off. That's when I wiped my nose with the back of my hand and saw I was bleeding.

I walked off the rink and looked over at my friends who had also gotten off as they had seen what happened. I told them I had a bloody nose and I will be right back. But when I got to the lobby, people were staring at me. Everyone was staring at me. So I wiped my nose again. That's when I knew something really bad could've just happened. Both of my hands were completely coated in blood. So I got to the bathroom as quick as I could with skates on, and someone in there who was washing their hands had to run out gagging because there was so much blood.

I stood in there for roughly ten minutes trying to get the bleeding to stop with one of the workers there helping me fill out a form making sure I didn't sue the place. When I was done, I went and stood by the rink waiting for my friends to get off. Once they did, I told them that I was pretty much done but they could keep skating as I was perfectly content watching them.

I ended up grabbing a water from concessions and sitting on the bleachers watching skaters. A few random people came over and talked to me about what happened so that was entertaining. Now I just have a small bruise and I'm super thankful I didn't actually break my nose.

Anybody have any similar stories?
