Patience is The Key

My lucid dreaming journey started on June 19th, 2012. As you can see by my flair, since then I have only had four lucid dreams, but I can explain. Between then and now there have been periods of time where I'm too busy to do reality checks or even think about lucid dreaming, but I never truly gave up, I just took breaks.

Recently a couple weeks ago I have been getting back into it and I have had a great lucid dream last night! My dream recall is improving, and I'm happier too.

So I just want to say be patient, try hard, don't give up hope, and you will have lucid dreams. Don't expect to be having lucid dreams every night within a few weeks, but just be happy when you do get them and try for more.

In case you're wondering, my method is Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) + Reality Checks (RCs)

WBTB: Set your alarm for a few hours after bed (I go to bed at 10:30 P.M. and set my alarm for 2:00 A.M.) and once you wake up just think about having a lucid dream or try to WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream, I don't feel like explaining it here, so you'll have to find it for yourself, sorry) and go back to sleep.

RC: I personally bite my lip. In real life it hurts of course but in the dream world it is numb, thus knowing I am dreaming.

Good luck, and dream well, oneironaut!
