How do game trophies work?

I got 88th place in Ugga drop, got a gold trophy for that. Got 42 place in Clockwork Codebreaker (also with max score), no trophy at all... So, can someone explain me how this works? (All scores send in today)

EDIT to add: number 43 on Clockwork Codebreaker does have a trophy...
