Embarrassing question about MTG

I have been playing MTG for about 10 years now. I always see/hear about this world of MTG. Like different planes like Ravnica and Innistrad etc. I was just wondering where these "stories" were. Are there MTG books? Is there a comic book? I would like to know more about the background and stories behind the creatures and all, but I don't know where. Can anyone answer this?

Thank you!
