When all else fails, how can I uninstall a previous version of Creative Suite?

My wife and I have recently merged computers using Time Machine and now both CS5 and CS6 are installed. I have tried to uninstall CS5 using the Adobe Installer, but it says, "Your uninstallation has encountered errors" right way. I alternatively tried to download and run Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, but CS5 doesn't show up.

What should I do next? I don't want to start deleting things that I assume are components of CS5, as this has resulted in things deleted that I actually wanted to save in the past.

Any thoughts? Tips? Ideas?
