How long are nuts from the market tasty/healthy?

I bought some macademia nuts and some other nuts for a suprise for somebody in my family. But how long are these nuts healthy and/or tasty? Because normally we/i eat them within a few days, but these will be eaten after around a week. It's for a holiday, so it would be a real shame if they get ruined before he gets them. And whats the best way to store them? I put them in a plastic bag and closed it very well. Thanks for reading,
