good news! (a bit dicey)

in my hometown we were able to buy a 1600m² estate to use as a masjed + islamic centre instead of the small space we had before, the price was quite affordable, alhamdulillah, however, and this is the dicey part: it used to be a protestant church.. and although the property was first sold to a private businessman (the church gave it up 11 years ago, because they didn't have many members, nor could ring the huge bells anymore, because of some structural issue with the tower), it might be a bit dicey to transform that church into a masjed/islamic centre now :D I hope this doesn't enflame additional islamophobia, when people see that old churches are transformed into masajed :D

we'll see, but alhamdulillah, we really needed the upgrade, because of so many converts and people reverting back to Islam:

  • (...) you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes, Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance. 110
